Upfront values water, our natural resource. When you walk to the garden, hike in the woods, or stroll on the beach, you are walking upon an aquifer buried deep within the rock, sand, and clay. You stand on the ground which provides an important natural resource, water. The art of digging wells into the aquifer dates back 800,000 years ago. Even though technology has evolved, we believe that well drilling will always remain an art.

Felton Jacobs President and Founder
Upfront President and Founder Felton is a state-licensed well driller and pump installer with significant experience. He has continued to further his well-drilling expertise by attending classes and drilling wells in the 35 years since attaining his license.
Felton is an artisan well driller with a unique gift for finding water where others cannot. He loves spending his free time with his family, beagles, and rabbits.
James V. Taggart Chairman/Investor
Jim has 30+ years of business experience and is a process-oriented manager with both Computer science and business degrees from Ohio State. He has created, invested in, and developed many companies to profitability.
Jim was the sole founder of the Physicians Pharmacy Alliance (Now AdhereRX), which he established in 2002 and sold to private equity in 2011. In 2008, he was honored with the Triangle Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award.
Between 2010 and 2016, Jim competed in professional sports car races with Lotus and Porsche, primarily racing in Pirelli World Challenge events. In 2011, was recognized as SCCA National Rookie of the Year.
After turning professional, he was the 2013 Pirelli World Challenge Rookie of the year in GTS, and in 2014, he competed in the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona in a Porsche with Randy Pobst. Jim has also held track records at VIR, Sebring, Road Atlanta, and Barber Motorsports.
